Heat Closing Update #2

Parents,

We have been informed by the Archdiocese that non-air conditioned schools will be closed due to excessive heat tomorrow, Wednesday, 9/5 and Thursday, 9/6.  This is for the comfort and safety of students, teachers, and staff. 

Back to School Nights for parents only will be held as scheduled:  9/5 for grades 5 through 8 and 9/6 for grades PK4 through 4th grade.

• PreK gradual entrance for ALL PreK parents will be held at Back to School Night. Please do not bring your child. 

Friday, September 7th will be a full day for grades K-8. 

• Gradual entrance for Kindergarten is cancelled.  Kindergarten parents may enter the school beginning at 7:45 through the playground doors and walk their children to their K classrooms. (Please park on the back half of St. John’s lot or the St. Ursula Church lot.)
• There will be no PK class or meeting on Friday.  All PK children will start on Monday, 9/10.
• Extended Day will not be held in the morning but will start Friday at dismissal.
• Students may bring water bottles to class until otherwise stated. 

Again we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding.  Teachers and staff were so excited to start the new school year today as we know your families were as well.  We are anxiously awaiting 7:45 on Friday when we will be able to welcome back to school the best students ever:  St. Ursula Students!
