St. Ursula School Information for Week of August 26, 2019:
Back to School Nights - Back to School Night for grades 5-8 will be on Wednesday, September 4th at 7:00 p.m. Back To School Night for grades Kindergarten – 4 will be on Thursday, September 5th at 7:00 p.m. Both will take place in the school auditorium.
8th Grade Shadow Date Change – The date for the excused shadow day for 8th grade students has been moved from October 11, 2019 to October 18, 2019. Just a reminder that each 8th grade student is also eligible for two excused absence floating shadow days of his/her choice.
Robotics Club - We will be offering a robotics club for the first trimester for grades 6-8. It will meet on Mondays from 3-4. The club is hosted by SUS, but will be run by STAR Academy who ran the STEM summer camp. The cost is $150. There is a 10 student minimum and a 20 student maximum. Student Accident Insurance – The Archdiocese of Baltimore, Division of Catholic Schools is pleased to once again offer a two tier student accident insurance plan for the school year 2019-2020. The plan includes a voluntary primary basic plan, which can be purchased by the parent/guardian of the student. The voluntary student accident plan can be purchased by any family with a student attending either an Archdiocesan school or an independent Catholic school within the Archdiocese, including pre-K students. This coverage is a very inexpensive benefit for school families. If purchased by the family, the primary plan provides up to $25,000 in covered benefits for accidents. The details of this plan can be reviewed by looking through the attachment, “Brochure Student Accident. ” There are various coverage options from which parents can select, but all are offered at a very low cost. Most beneficial about this coverage is that it has no deductible. In order to simplify the purchasing process, parents have the option of submitting the application and payment directly to the company via regular mail, or they can go on line and complete the purchase of the coverage by visiting www.StudentInsurance-kk.com.
