St. Ursula School Information for Week of April 8, 2019:
12:10 Dismissal - On Friday, April 12th we will have RFE and a 12:10 dismissal. An email was sent yesterday with the race schedule. Reminder that cars may not park St. John’s or the school lot until 11:45. Also, in Mrs. Glinowiecki’s monthly letter, May 1st was listed as an out of uniform day for all. May 1st will be out of uniform for those only those students who win the candy bar drawing held during the race.
Service Hours – Unless you opted out of service hours, you must complete 25 hours by May 1st. If you have not already done so, please send in your service hour card for recording.
SUS Tuition Assistance - SUS Tuition Assistance is very limited and provided to those Parishioners with the greatest need. All applicants must apply through FACTS. Included must be a 2018 FEDERAL tax return including all schedules and all W-2 earning statements. As the April 15th deadline is upon us, it is imperative for you to complete FACTS applications by Friday, APRIL 19, 2019. Incomplete application will not be processed. Note: if you are not desiring SUS Tuition Assistance, you do not need to file your 2018 Federal Tax return with FACTS.
NOT TOO LATE Five Below - from April 6-April 12 take the attached flyer to the White Marsh store and we will receive 10% of the proceeds. This is a great opportunity to get candy and items for your Easter baskets. Feel free to share this flyer with friends and family.
Church Cleaning – Help us get St. Ursula Church ready for Easter this Sunday, April 14 following the 11:00 Mass. We will clean up palm fronds, wipe down pews, wash hymnal covers, vacuum, dust, and more. There are jobs for all. Kids are welcome. Service hours will apply. Pizza lunch to follow.
Field Day Letter and Permission Form – This year Field Day will be on Thursday, May 2 at Double Rock Park. Please see the attached letter, permission form, and Field Day instructions. All permission forms are due to back to your child’s teacher by April 16.
Extended Day Reminder – Extended Day will close at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18th.
First Communion - Do you have a 6th through 8th grader who has not received First Communion, and is interested in learning how to participate in this central Sacrament of our faith? If so, we will have an initial inquiry meeting this Saturday, April 13, following the 5 PM Mass in the parish office. For more information, please call Laura at the parish office, 410-665-4106. Summer Camps:
STEM Summer Camp - Is your child interested in STEM? Do they like robotics and drones? St. Ursula is hosting a summer camp in conjunction with Baltimore Robotics/Star Academy from July 8-12, 2019. There will be a morning session for incoming grades 3-5 and an afternoon session for incoming grades 6-8. We need a minimum of 10 for each camp to run and there is a maximum of 20 spots available.
