Halloween Activities

UPDATE OCTOBER 26, 2020

Dear Parents,

As hopeful as we have been that we might be able to squeeze this Friday's Hallow-Giving costume showcase in between the anticipated rainfall, I am disappointed to say that the percentage for rain on Friday has only continued to increase. That said, we have decided to reschedule the Hallow-Giving event to Monday, November 2 (same time frame).  Knowing that many of you had already adjusted your work schedule on Friday to accommodate this drive through event, we apologize for any inconvenience that this necessary change may cause you. However, we remain hopeful that all families will be able to drive through campus on Monday afternoon as you honk, wave and cheer on our students as their most adoring fans.

With all this being said, the students are required to wear their regular uniform attire on Friday, October 30. And then on Monday, November 2, the students will be invited to wear a costume (or orange and black Halloween attire) to school that day.

As a point of clarification, even though Monday begins a new arrival and dismissal schedule, please note that we will continue to adhere to the drive through schedule that we have posted on this MAP. However, please know that our morning and afternoon times will remain as the times posted for the weeks of November 2 and November 9.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding.

United in Christ...Rob

Dear Parents,

As we find ourselves drawing closer to the festivities surrounding Halloween, our celebration of Hallow-Giving will serve as a fitting way in which to share our pumpkin pride as only HUSKY NATION can do. With this being said, on Friday, October 30, our students are invited to wear Halloween attire in honor of this "faBOOlous" event. Please refer to our HALLOW-GIVING COSTUME GUIDELINES and DONATION ITEMS document. Included with this information are specific details about what is permissible to wear on 10/30. And as well, the document also includes information about the items that the students may bring to this weekend's 9:00am Harvest Mass that will be held outdoors on the St. Ursula Church Lot. For your reference, we will also be collecting these items all next week (10/26-10/30).

As a special part of Hallow-Giving, we are inviting you and your family members (including grandparents!) to drive through our costume showcase. During this event our entire student body will be positioned outside along the border of our campus smiling and waving to their adoring fans (you and your family). Please refer to our HALLOW-GIVING DRIVE THRU MAP which will offer you specific details about the costume showcase travel route. And although you may enter Manns Avenue through either the north or southbound direction of Harford Road, you will only be able to exit Neifeld Avenue by turning right on Harford Road (no left/northbound turns onto Harford Road). For your reference, we have secured members of the Parkville Police Department as a means in which to assist with our safe and orderly travel route. On a final note, as a means in which to minimize congestion on the roadways, you will notice that the map also includes an assigned time for your family to enter the travel route.

Thank you in advance for your support of Hallow-Giving and the children of HUSKY NATION.

Joyously in Christ...Rob
