Information for the Week of September 23, 2019

St. Ursula School Information for Week of September 23, 2019: 

  1. Proper Tennis Shoe for PE – For the safety of your child, please make sure your child is wearing the proper tennis shoes as outlined in the Student/Parent Handbook on page 32.  Students may not wear slip-on or no-tie tennis shoes.  Thank you.
  2. Family Income Survey – Just a reminder that if you have not already done so, please return the Title I Private Schools Family Income Survey.  It is important to get as many forms returned as possible to assist us in getting funding from the state.
  3. Ice Cream Social Volunteers Needed – The Fathers’ Club is looking for Virtus approved volunteers to help with the Ice Cream Social this Friday, September 27, 2019.  Please email Ryan Zimmerman at [email protected].
  4. 2019 Rosary Congress Flyer – You and your child are invited to participate in the Rosary  Congress at the Basilica of the Assumption.  See the attached flyer for details.  Any student who attends The Story of Our Lady of Lourdes ,on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, with their parent and informs the school prior to the event will be excused from school .  See the attached flyer for specific details.
  5. Yearbook Committee – If your child is in grades seven or eight and is interested in being on the Yearbook Committee please see the attached flyer for details. 

Lunch Program:

  1. October Harvest Festival Special Lunch - We will have our first Special Lunch of the year on Thursday, October 17.  Please go to this link to see details and place your order.  All orders are due by Wednesday, October 2.   https://payit.nelnet.net/form/mHyfIaRY
  2. Good Taste Catering Lunches – Once again we are offering parents an opportunity, if they choose, to purchase lunch on Tuesdays and Thursday throughout the school year.  Lunch menus are now open and service will start on October 1st.   Just keep in mind that you need to place your order seven days prior to delivery.  Please see the attached letter for directions for placing orders.  Directions are for both returning families and new families to the school.    

Parish Life: 

  1. Baptism Preparation - If you have an unbaptized child between the ages of 3 and 17 and are interested in learning more about how to have him or her baptized, please call or email Laura at the parish office: 410-665-4106, [email protected].  The next Baptism Prep class for parents of school aged children will be held on Sunday, October 6, from 4-6 in the parish office.
